Welcome All Saints and St. Vincent Ferrer Families!
Registration is now CLOSED for the 25-26 SY
FLOCK creates a sense of synergy through inclusivity and integration into parish life and will be a focus of our program as we move into the coming years. Programming opportunities for both families and students to interact with each other and to experience various Catholic Traditions on a consistent basis throughout the year are key aspects to the faith formation we hope to provide. Please take the time to read below about the schedule and what things to know for the 2025-2026 school year.
Schedule:
Classes will be held in the All Saints school building from 10:05-10:55. Each grade level has an assigned teacher/catechist. Because we have a large number of students for many grade levels, students will be assigned to attend on an "A"/"B" schedule. They will attend either on an "A" week or a "B" week (families with multiple children will attend on the same schedule). There will be 5 "C" weeks throughout the year. "C" will be a "Community/Family" week where all students and families attend together in one of our larger spaces. This is part of our curriculum and families are expected to attend. Some of these will be held at St. Vincent Ferrer and some will be hosted at All Saints. These will largely be themed around liturgical happenings throughout the year, i.e. Advent/Christmas, Lent/Easter. Additional details for the schedule will be issued later this summer. Our first session will be a Community/Family kick off session in All Saints GYM on Sunday August 24, 2025. We will attend 9am Mass as a FLOCK family and then proceed to the gym to meet the Catechists and learn about our plan for the year.
Content:
We offer classes for students in the 1st-8rd grades. We will continue to use My Catholic Faith Delivered (MCFD) as our primary religious education material. Students will be provided access to their grade level content and will be able to go through the material on a weekly basis including the weeks that they do not attend. Completing the MCFD lessons is a requirement. In class sessions supplement online programming that is completed at home. 8th grade is follow up year to Confirmation. It will take a more open ended format than our other grade levels bridging Confirmation into youth ministry, faith leadership, and tools for living a faith filled life.
Volunteering:
We would not be able to do what we do without the help of generous volunteers. We welcome any parents who would like to be an active part of their child's religious education. Help is often needed in our classrooms, welcoming students as they come in each week, and helping with community/family events. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact the parish office.
Sacraments:
Sacraments are a two-year process. Students must attend religious education the year prior to the sacramental year in order to be properly prepared for receiving a sacrament. This applies to First Reconciliation, First Communion, and Confirmation. It is in the best interest of the child's religious formation that they have a solid religious foundation prior to receiving a sacrament. Additional details concerning the sacraments will be discussed and provided at the sacramental parent meetings in the fall.
Fee:
The yearly fee for each student is $130. This covers the cost of curriculum, materials, and catechist stipends. All Saints/St. Vincent Ferrer is committed to its families and wants to ensure religious education is available for our families. Financial assistance is available should the fee incur financial hardship.
Registration:
Classes filled quickly! We have reached our capacity even with the "A" and "B" schedules set to accommodate a larger number of students. We are excited to get to know your family this year! Please note that all new students, students who were not previously enrolled in All Saints or St. Vincent Ferrer religious education, or who where baptized at All Saints/St. Vincent Ferrer must submit a copy of baptismal records to Nilfa Chacksfield at [email protected]
We hope that the experience this year provides solid content, builds community, and engages students and families. Should you have any questions/concerns, we are happy to speak with you and assist you in your needs.
